Really Living After 40

THATS ME! – Second from the right. My first time surfing – shark bait!  I was scared and intimidated, but determined to try.   At age 51, in beautiful southern California, I surfed for the first time in my life.

Flashback 20 years: Single mother with three kids and a full time nurse in a small town. Working hard everyday for the family and not taking much time for me.  Sound familiar?

It took me awhile, but I finally took control of my life and health in my early 40’s.   I am now a grandmother, re-married, business owner, happy, healthy and in the best shape of my life.  Back then, I would have never been able to envision my current crazy-amazing life.  It was all possible because of deep self-education and positive action when opportunities appeared.

This blog is a little bit of me trying to give back and share my knowledge and experience.  As a nurse, helping others is in my DNA.  I hope my blog on Fit and Healthy Living over 40 finds you and enriches your life.
